A Global Majority, LGBTQ+ led organisation, StoneCrabs ‘shines a light on untold stories’ and uses professional theatre as a tool for raising awareness of issues, encouraging educational achievement, personal and social development as well as providing enriching accessible cultural experiences.

The company is registered in England and Wales (2003) with activities in London and Isle of Wight. The charity’s registered address is on the Isle of Wight. We have been creating work from the Isle of Wight since 2015 and have delivered projects and performed in theatre’s all around the UK i.e. Yorkshire, Manchester, Leeds, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, London, etc; and internationally Tokyo, Saitama, Fujino (Japan), Lisbon (Portugal), Salvador (Brasil), etc.

Through the values of respect, excellence, friendship, courage, determination, inspiration and equality, we place underrepresented voices and untold stories center stage whilst nourishing the next generation of diverse theatre makers.

Our main activities are: A) staged productions B) community and heritage work and C) training programmes. Delivering these activities by employing culturally diverse practitioners and presenting the work to a wide theatre going public. The company works in collaboration with secondary school students and through forum meetings in London and on the Isle of Wight, staging work at diverse stages like Soho Theatre, Quay Arts Newport, Ventnor Exchange, Omnibus Theatre, the Albany and Marylebone Theatre amongst others.
